Satechi Touch USB LED Kit Turns Any Empty Bottle Into a Lamp

We've got posts galore showing how to make your own lamp and even convert everyday objects into a light source. But if you like your DIY projects with a little less "why?", here's a kit which can convert nearly any empty bottle into a table lamp utilizing bright and efficient LEDs...

The premise behind the Satechi Touch USB LED Lamp kit ($24.99) is as easy as they come when it comes to DIY: simply place the LED unit into the opening of a bottle, plug the lamp into a USB port, and activate the light from the silver top of the lamp.

The LED lighting system is rated for a lifetime use of 50,000 hours, consuming a scant 1.2W of power when on, and connects/powers up via USB cable as a secondary lighting source near your computer.

Every finished bottle of water, soda, wine, or liquor is just another opportunity to change out the style of your lighting ("Honey, drink on up...I want to change our the lamp base!"). My personal interest in this LED kit piqued upon previewing the press samples of different bottles using various bottles...I love the Crystal Head Vodka skull example!
