New Parenthood: Learning Along The Way

Are you a new parent or on the way to becoming one? Are you thinking about starting a family down the road?  or are you already an experienced parent with a thriving family of your own?

I fall into category number one. I am in my mid-late thirties and am just getting around to this next chapter in my life. It took my husband and I over a decade and a half to finally feel ready to share our lives with a wee one and jump into the tumultuous world of parenthood.

Our tiny male human will be fully cooked in the beginning of July, and we have been getting ready for his arrival. Neither of us have ever really been around babies or children before and are basically learning from the ground up.

I know there are many so variables and surprises that will inevitably be in our future, but I am trying to be somewhat prepared. Learning and preparing the basics is my way of staying calm and getting ready for this major life change.

There has been research, thrifting, hunting around, and reading about this new uncharted territory over the past few months, and I invite you to follow me down the rabbit hole of new parenthood with things I have found and questions I might have along the way. So if you find yourself in the same boat, thinking about getting into the boat in the future, or have lots of great wisdom to impart, climb aboard and hang on cause I'm sure it'll be a sweet but bumpy ride.
